The Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure LANAP is an FDA approved treatment that employs a laser to safely and effectively treat moderate to severe periodontal disease without the use of scalpels or sutures. The laser’s light energy allows the periodontist to selectively remove problem tissue while preserving healthy tissue and disinfecting the tooth surface.
